Wait. What?  Yes, YOU can help families in crisis without spending a dime. All it takes is for you to LIKE the American Sign Museum on Facebook, and $.50 will be donated to Cancer Family Care here in Cincinnati.

Two-time cancer survivor and museum staffer Barbara Marrow (shown above sporting her post-chemo hairdo with friend, boss, and museum founder Tod Swormstedt in 2005) has been looking for a way to give back to those who supported her and to promote the American Sign Museum at the same time. When she saw our Facebook milestone of 3,000 likes and our challenge to reach 4,000  – and this being National Cancer Awareness Month – she thought ‘now is the time’ So here it is:

Barbara and Tod are donating $.25 each for every new American Sign Museum Facebook like through October 31st to Cancer Family Care, a Cincinnati support organization that was very helpful to her. Their goal: getting us to 4,000 likes by October 31.

It’s up to YOU! Please like us today. If you are already a friend, you can help by sharing the related Facebook post. Remember, the deadline is October 31. Every new like – including yours – is another $.50 in support of families dealing with cancer.

We at the American Sign Museum – and especially Tod and Barbara – thank you for taking part.

  1. Thank you so much! I’m hopeful this effort will bring new awareness for the museum and for a great cancer support organization. And hopefully some $$$ too!

  2. What a great cause and idea! I’ll definitely be posting about this on Retro Roadmap’s FB page. Thanks for letting me know!
