Reading Terminal
Established in 1892 on the ground floor of the Reading Railroad Terminal, the Market remains one of America's oldest and largest public markets. More than 80 vendors serve up everything from Amish scrapple to organic produce, Philly cheesesteaks and ethnic specialties from around the world. In the late 1940s, this huge porcelain and neon sign was installed on the 5th floor of the Headhouse where it remained until 1995. Davidson Neon restored the spectacular 9' by 16' sign in 2006, and re-installed it above the Market's entrance.
