Kahnie’s Halloween Costume. Skelepig?

When the folks at Kahn’s meat plant offered to donate their mascot, Kahnie, to the museum, we said, ‘Sure!’ Then we said, ‘Hmm. What will we do with her?’

For a long time she stood sentinel at what was to be our new home.  Now that we’re there too, we’re excited about sharing her with the community.

She was well-received at the Northside 4th of July Parade and according to the folks at Kennedy Heights Arts Center, she was the star attraction at their Community Arts Centers Day festivities. In fact, she was invited to stay a while longer so they could REALLY dress her up in style! Look what they did for Halloween!

On November 30, Kahnie will leave Kennedy Heights Arts Center and following some repair work to her trailer, will be coming back home. We can’t wait!

Would you like to invite Kahnie to your event? Do you have a suggestion for dressing her up at your place or ours?  Contact us with your request, and if time and resources allow, we will arrange for her participation.  Note: a transport fee may apply to help defray costs.
